v0.10 Devlog 10
Hello hello everyone! I am here with yet another Devlog!
So I realized that, for August, I neglected to make a Devlog... by the time I realized it, it was already close enough to about this time for one so I just said to hell with it and waited for around the 20th. And I was ready for that and getting stuff done and such...
And my new head janitor job with more responsibilities came into play...
And then Silksong happened at the beginning of the month...
And, currently, I am sick :V
Fun times!
But anyways, getting to the point, obviously not done yet since I'm doing a devlog. This is the first time i've really even sat down at my own computer in like... a week, to be honest, and I've not been able to even see the computer off and on in the last month. Turns out that while the pay is indeed better, the job is def more draining on me, combined with house duties piling up... shit has sucked.
Anyways, enough of the explanation, let me go over some things I'm hoping to implement for the 3rd year release next month! (Jeez, can't believe it already...)
First! Gonna be looking at Android finally. I've always avoided it since the packaging and I'd need new UI elements and blah de blah but I'm gonna see if I can at least package up .10 in an android build. Like I said, gonna *try* because I don't wanna use the unofficial ones (for safety reasons).
Second! Goblin tier stuff will be back on the menu if I can help it, the create-a-gob tier that you can get via Patreon/Subscribestar that will be a background character in Dungeon Days! :V I already have most of the bases done for them so it should be a fun thing for my subscribers in the future!
Last, this is more a bit of new direction stuff... but I have been tinkering with the idea of converting to a 80/20 system when it comes to sprites and full renders. Doing render after render is.... tedious. Not necessarily hard, just tedium, and it's worn on me mentally over the last few years. I switched to using sprites in the last few updates to help with this and sprites are *much* easier without getting rid of the personality of the characters thankfully, so I am considering leaning more into them for this update and the future for Dungeon Days. If I want Dungeon Days to get done in any good capacity, then it's probably gonna be needed.
